There is a whole different mindset to living on or near water. Waking up to the call of loons and the splash of fish jumping in the lake (the one’s that got away). The sound of waves foaming up on shores of the ocean or the sight of seagulls facing the wind on the pier.

I have lived on or near water my entire life. Our family had a place on Lake Michigan and an island in Canada 9 miles by boat and another 28 miles by car to the nearest town. New Hampshire has over 1300 lakes with trees covering 85% of the beautiful landscapes from the Seacoast to the White Mountains and beyond. I understand the emotion attached to such a special place. The odometer on my car indicates I cover most of the state.
