Assessors come knocking again in Alton, New Hampshire

Alton residents expect the tax assessor to come to their home in the near future. As was done in Wolfeboro, voters recently approved the funds to get this work done so the long process has begun. Although the town adjusted their assessments not all that long ago, the significant increases in waterfront property values is one of the major reasons to redo the assessments.
